How to Report a Power Outage in Your Area

You should contact your utility company to report a power outage near you. As your retail energy supplier, Constellation is responsible for your energy rate and contract term. The utility company, on the other hand, owns and operates the wires that bring electricity into your home or business, including maintaining the lines, poles and meters, which means they are the ones you should contact to report a power outage in your area. Although all utility companies have a customer service line, most utilities have a special number to call to report power outages, as well as a way to report them directly through the utility company’s website. Once you have contacted your utility, some may be able to give you a timeframe of when your power will be restored.
